I started building Wordpress sites and helping entrepreneurs with social media and online marketing in 2009 when social media was in its infancy! For the first time EVER small business owners and entrepreneurs could play with the big boys in marketing without spending a lot of money. The big agencies knew just as much - or as little - as the rest of us when it came to social media. It was an exciting time to learn and help other fellow entrepreneurs!
Sadly, it wasn't too long before the vultures started swooping in. Recognizing that entrepreneurs weren't as savvy as corporate marketing experts, they were taken advantage of simply because they didn't know what to ask or what to expect.
Unfortunately, as more-and-more tools and more-and-more experts selling their special systems to try and simplify the process have flooded the market, the complexity of the situation has only compounded itself. It takes a rare entrepreneur to have the time and where-with-all to dig into all of this $h!t and figure out what's what! It can be done, but it's more challenging than ever.
The "good" service providers are often still out of reach for many micro-business and entrepreneur budgets. There are TONS of low cost options in the gig world, but it's hard to find those who are both good and trustworthy.
So, you do your best to pull the nuggets of wisdom from freely shared expert info or maybe you even plop a couple grand down for a full course system. BUT, you still have to apply this wisdom to your own unique business with your own unique target audience.
And that isn't easy!
You may get hit up by a company offering to do a "Free Marketing Audit" to help you understand your problems. And surprise, surprise, the answer is that their services or long-term coaching contract will fix all of your problems with a nice big price tag!
There are so many experts, coaches, consultants, and service providers selling guidance on how you can be successful THIER way with THIER system, but very few of them help you know what you're doing wrong when you apply their concepts to your own business or help you figure out how to do it YOUR WAY!
So, you're left with trial and error or coming up with a big budget to upgrade to their premium support or 1:1 work with a long-term coaching contract.
All you need is a little feedback but more than you get in their Facebook group filled with thousands like you struggling to implement!
Sure, there are great success stories and some of those people do give back, but most of the successful entrepreneurs get caught up in running their now successful business leaving the FB group manned with the unsuccessful or the coaches trying to sell upgrade support.

When the main goal of the coach or consultant who is telling you what's wrong is to help you fix it, there's ALWAYS going to be inherent bias. If they sell SEO services, then the main problem will be that your site isn't search optimized. If they sell website development, then you're not using the "best" website platform. If they sell ALL OF IT... well, don't get me started. I'm not selling any of it. My sole purpose is to be on your side and identify what's best for you.
What's the simplest, fastest strategy to more clients and more cash that the entrepreneur is ACTUALLY GOING TO IMPLEMENT? No matter how good a strategy is, if the entrepreneur isn't going to do it, it doesn't matter - unless they can afford to outsource. I focus on helping identify marketing strategies that fit each entrepreneur's gifts and willingness to complete.
I'll help you see all of the options and understand the pros and the cons. I'll even tell you what I would do. But in the end, you make the best decisions for yourself and your business.

Many Business Coaches also have their process or box and put all of their clients through that same process. As an Entrepreneur Coach, I focus on developing a custom system or process that works for each individual entrepreneur because no two are alike. Unique approaches, unique follow up, unique championship/accountability.
Accountability hasn't really worked for me, but I know it works for some. I prefer the term Championship. I champion my clients to help provide the encouragement to do the hard things. Accountability can be the source of judgement and negative self-talk and we don't want any of that. Did you know that a synonym for accountability is blame-worthiness? I approach working with my clients from a place of love and grace... and if it's needed, that love can be tough, but it's never a drill sergeant.
